The Government is fully aware that the promotion of agricuture as the Third Engine of Growth and putting it back to the forefront of the country’s economic growth requires a complete transformation of the agriculture sector to resolve many vital long-standing issues that have hinered the sector from becoming competitive and attractive to investors.

Greater thrusts will be given on tha comercialization of agro-food related activities by encouraging greater use of modern technoogies and techniques to transform traditional farming into commercially viable business.
