Whilst R&D and
technology innovation efforts are recognised as a necessity
to business growth, delivering useful and commercial
result can be excruciatingly difficult. The bane of
any scientist ia a failed commercialisation attempt
of this hard earned invention. It's neither the lack
of good science nor the entrepreneurship drive on the
part of the industry, to convert research outcome to
the marketplace, but perhaps it is the lack of integration.
Formulae, designs and innovative processes need to be
translated to tangible end-consumer products or service
offerings. This has to done systemically and speedily
so that product enters the market at the appropriate
time.
Marditech development
as the commercial arm of the Malaysian Agriculture Research
Development Institute ( MARDI ) on the above premise.
It exists to make science a worthwhile endeavor to the
government, the industry and foremost, to the scientist.
